So… should we make crypto green again? When was the last time you actually used Bitcoin to pay for something? And how many times have you used any other crypto coin as a real payment?

Honestly, I have no idea what to do with my BITCOIN anymore - how to use it, where to spend it, or who even accepts it. The same goes for many other coins. And that’s becoming one of the biggest issues for crypto enthusiasts and everyone who truly believes cryptocurrencies are the future of payments.

I want to use BTC as a payment method, but in practice it’s difficult.
Some places still don’t accept it at all.
Others add an extra 2–5% fee.
Sometimes the exchange rate scares you off.
Sometimes you finally decide to buy something, only to find out the shop removed their crypto checkout option.

Back in 2019, I accepted Bitcoin and Ethereum for advertising and freelance work. Today? Nobody pays me in BTC anymore - HOOOODL. About a year ago, I received some Safemoon - and that was my last non-stablecoin transaction. After that, it’s been USDT only.

Most people who use crypto today do it in very specific ways: gambling platforms, play-to-earn tokens, NFT marketplaces using ETH or SOL… but everyday payments? Rare.

Is that enough? Probably not.

How do we change it? Hard to say.

But I believe we’ll see people using crypto for payments again once governments start regulating stablecoins in a clear and structured way. That may create both good and bad times for the industry - but at least it will create clarity.

Are better days ahead, or tougher ones? Maybe both.
